Kayseri University Develi Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, Department of Turkish Language and Literature faculty member Assoc. Prof. Dr. Saniye KÖKER held a “Poetry Recital” program.

At the opening of the program, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Saniye KÖKER spoke about poetry. After mentioning the relationship between poetry and consciousness, Köker stated that poetry can be found in societies that have succeeded in becoming a nation and ended her speech by saying that the existence of the Turkish nation is built on poetry. The “Poetry Recital” program continued with poems read by the students of the Department of Turkish Language and Literature, followed by a guitar recital. Since the Department of Turkish Language and Literature will give its first graduates this year, the event was dedicated to the graduating students.
